thirteen23 has been in partnership with Dell since 2009, working on well over 30 engagements together over the years. Along the way we have worked closely with the consumer, business, and enterprise divisions. With Windows 8 on the verge of release, Dell needed a dependable partner to build a welcome guide application to help new users get started with the emerging platform. The app features tutorial videos for both touch and keyboard/mouse interactions, teaching new users how to navigate the space. There was also an extensive FAQ section that provided vital information for people looking to learn more. This was a perfect opportunity to leverage our extensive experience in Windows development. We included full localization for 5 languages (Spanish, French, German, English, and Japanese), and we were excited to see this app ship on all Dell Windows 8 machines.
